Tá áthas ar Fishamble: The New Play Company a bheith ag comhoibriú le scríbhneoir, cumadóir agus aisteoir Fionn Foley chun ceardlann nua Gaeilge ar Stáitse a chur ar fáil Beidh dhá sheisiún thar dhá dheireadh seachtaine i gceist. Is é príomhsprioc na ceardlainne ná dramaí nua trí Ghaeilge, nó drámaí a bhainnean usáid fiúntach as an teanga a fhorbairt.
Fishamble: The New Play Company are delighted to be collaborating with writer, composer and actor Fionn Foley to put together Gaeilge ar Stáitse over two weekend sessions. The aim of this new workshop is to facilitate the development of new Irish plays, written either entirely in Irish, or that engage meaningfully with the language.
Beidh Fionn Foley ag éascú na seisiúin le cabhair ó Bhainisteoir Liteartha Fishamble Gavin Kostick. Beidh aoichainteoirí ag glacadh páirt le linn na deireadh seachtaine chomh maith. Tá súil againn go mbeidh deis ag an ngrúpa tábhacht agus acmhainn na Gaeilge a phlé, scileanna agus modhanna nua a fhorbairt agus smaointe nua do dhrámaí nua Gaeilge a chruthú. Tar éis na ceardlainne, beidh deis ag na scríbhneóirí píosa nua a fhorbairt agus a chur isteach chuig an comhlacht, agus cuirfear aiseolas ar fáil i ndiaidh sin.
Fionn will be facilitating the sessions with the support of Fishamble Literary Manager Gavin Kostick, as well as guest speakers over the weekend. We aim for this workshop to create opportunities for writers to examine the potential within Irish language writing, to develop new skills and methods as well as ideas for new work through the Irish language. Writers will also be given time after the workshops, in which to develop and deliver a short piece of creative work, with feedback given thereafter.
