Fishamble's 2024 Programme
In 2024, Fishamble is proud to continue investing in the careers of artists, productions, new writing initiatives, and training and development programmes, ensuring that the future of Irish theatre is nurtured and supported.
We are delighted to present a number of productions both in Ireland and internationally in 2024:
Taigh/Tŷ/Teach took place in January/February this year in Grinneabhat, Lewis, Scotland, Ionad Na Dromoda, Kerry, Ireland and Nant Gwrtheyrn, Wales.
The Transatlantic Commissions Residency readings took place in the Irish Rep in New York and axis Ballymun in July, featuring the work of CN Smith, Felispeaks, Jade Jordan and Kwaku Fortune, directed by Jim Culleton and Nicola Murphy Dubey.
In Two Minds by Joanne Ryan, directed by Sarah Jane Scaife, performed in August as part of Edinburgh Festival Fringe at the Traverse Theatre in Edinburgh.
King, Silent and Forgotten by Pat Kinevane, directed by Jim Culleton, performing at various venues throughout Ireland and abroad throughout the year.
Outrage by Deirdre Kinahan, directed by Jim Culleton will be going on a nationwide tour all over Ireland in October/November.
Fishamble also continues its programme of development initiatives, supporting the writers of over half the plays produced in Ireland, including the New Play Clinic, and Big Ambitions at Dublin Fringe Festival.
