Fishamble's 2022 programme
In 2022, Fishamble is proud to continue investing in the careers of artists, productions, new writing initiatives, and training and development programmes, ensuring that the future of Irish theatre is nurtured and supported.
Fishamble is delighted to present two new productions in 2022:
OUTRAGE by Deirdre Kinahan, directed by Jim Culleton, performed in March and April 2022 in Kells Courthouse, The Pumphouse Dublin Port & Online.
Heaven, a new play by Eugene O'Brien, also directed by Jim Culleton will premiere this Autumn in Dublin Theatre Festival, before an Irish tour and a New-York off Broadway transfer.
At the same time, Fishamble is touring a number of its existing productions in person, live and online. Fishamble's Duck Duck Goose by Caitríona Daly, directed by Jim Culleton, was presented Online in January via Draíocht, Blanchardstown and Origin’s 1st Irish Festival, New York.
Fishamble's The Treaty by Colin Murphy, directed by Conall Morrison, was part of Culture Ireland's SEODA online festival and will be available to stream 13-16 March on its Youtube channel.
Fishamble is also delighted to tour across Ireland and Europe with Mustard by Eva O'Connor, directed by Hildegard Ryan, as well as Pat Kinevane's plays, directed by Jim Culleton. These include Fishamble's Olivier-award winning Silent and Before.
It will also continue its programme of development initiatives, supporting the writers of over half the plays produced in Ireland, including the New Play Clinic, and the Transatlantic Commissions Programme in partnership with the Irish Repertory Theatre in New York for Black Irish writers and playwrights of colour.
