Description: The Nun's Wood is a haunting story of dangerous beauty, savage lovers and ancient sacrifice. It is a viciously funny account of life on the remote island of Tinaglasha. In the hot summer of 1974 the lives of four young people are changed forever by a deadly secret which has been kept hidden in the nun's wood.
The play is set in Cork and the original cast featured Fiona Condon, Caroline Gray, Máire Hastings, Myles Horgan, Chris Kelly and Emily Nagle.
Pat Kinevane already well known to audiences nationwide as an actor for his
many appearances including De Valera in Good Evening Mr.
Collins and
Inspector Larkin in The Ballingale Murder Mystery.
The Nuns' Wood, his first play was specially commissioned
by Fishamble. The play toured to Longford, Kilkenny, Cork and Limerick.
